In the afterlife, Nick Walker, a detective who used to work for the Boston Police Department, is hired by a director of a group of deceased police officers to fight against the renegade ghosts.

R.I.P.D.: Rest in Peace Department or simply R.I.P.D., is a 2013 American supernatural action comedy film starring Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds. Robert Schwentke directed the film based on a screenplay adapted from the comic book R.I.P.D. by Peter M. Lenkov.

This film also stars the amazing Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stéphanie Szostak, and Marisa Miller.
