Antiviral pill developed to treat COVID-19
The world’s first antiviral oral pill used to treat symptomatic COVID-19 has been designed.
The pill has been dubbed a potential game-changer in the fight against the virus which has claimed more than five-million lives globally.
US drug companies, Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics developed the pill and while it comes with a hefty price tag several first world countries have already placed tall orders for it.
