Cape Town gang violence flares up

Gangsterism has taken centre stage in Cape Town again.

According to the ANC's Faiez Jacobs, it remains a huge problem on the Cape Flats despite the coronavirus pandemic. 

Earlier this week Jacobs visited the family of a young boy, who was seriously injured during gang crossfire in Manenberg.

He says the boy is in a stable but critical condition in hospital.

According to him criminals are plying trade again after the reduced lockdown regulations,

led to the withdrawal of the military from some areas.
