Children can get vaxxed from next week
The Health Department has confirmed COVID-19 vaccines will be rolled out for teens next week.
From Wednesday children between 12 and 17-years-old can queue up for a single shot of the Pfizer vaccine and they don’t need parental consent.
For now minors will only receive a single dose while the department reviews international reports on rare adverse effects like inflammation of the heart muscle in vaccinated children.
Our reporter Natalie Malgas has the details.
