CSA, Sascoc & Minister’s Mexican stand-off continues
The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee’s recent calls for Parliament to investigate Sport Minister Nathi Mthethwa has everyone holding their breath to see what happens next.
Sascoc has called for the investigation after what it believes was an overreach of power by Mthethwa when he forced an amended Memorandum of Incorporation on Cricket SA.
The governing body for sport in the country has however rejected the MOI which would see a majority independent board appointed at CSA. For more on the calls for an investigation, we had a chat with Sascoc President Barry Hendricks.
