Debunking vaccine myths

One-fifth of adult South Africans are now fully vaccinated and over 16 million vaccines have been administered.

It’s still a race against time as South Africa braces itself for a potential fourth wave.

There are those however, who are vaccine hesitant and others who are anti-vaccines.

So how do we continue to assure them that vaccines are safe and effective?

General practitioner Rashid Badroodien says it’s important not to dismiss their fears.

He’s been researching the theories behind some of the reluctance

and he believes it’s important to engage the unvaccinated on the facts to address their fears.
