Decision on quarantining yet to be made
The Health Department is currently considering proposals from South Africa’s leading scientists and members of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on COVID who believe it’s time to do away with contact tracing and quarantine times. Those who have come into contact with a COVID-positive person currently have to quarantine for 10 days.
The Deputy Director-General of the National Health Department Dr. Nicholas Crisp says talks are ongoing.
