Does Mango Airlines need a bailout?
After some confusion at airports today Mango says it will resume normal operations tomorrow.
All of the low-cost carrier’s flights were suspended today because of its debt owed the Airports Company of South Africa money.
The airline was not allowed to land nor take off from any ACSA airport, until payment was made.
Mango Airlines has since apologised for today's flight interruptions. But it’s difficult to determine
how much Mango will need in bailout money as it has failed to issue financial statements for years.
That’s according to aviation economist, Dr Joachim Vermooten who says the airline has been in financial distress for a while.

Mango says senior management and shareholders are locked in emergency discussions to find an amicable solution to the impasse with ACSA.
Mango is working on making alternative travel arrangements for affected customers today.
The airline has urged affected customers to contact its call center on 086 100 1234.
