E Cape community workers demand better working conditions

The Eastern Cape is the province with the third largest number of COVID-19 infections. 

The healthcare system in the province is, however, under increased pressure, and is struggling to cope with the wave of patients, needing treatment. 

According to one civil society alliance, healthcare workers are not receiving the necessary support, and are receiving minimum wages.
