E Cape villages underpoliced

Residents from dozens of villages in Centane in the Eastern Cape says poor policing is creating a breeding ground for crime.

They allege there's only one police station meant to service 44 villages and only two patrol vehicles are currently in operation.

As Mbasa Khwaza reports often police only arrive a day after a crime has been reported.
