Experts question Mboweni's public sector wage freeze
The three things that government spends most of our money on:
servicing our debt, which is set to balloon to 5,5 trillion rand in 3 years.
Social relief, like grants to help the most vulnerable,
and the biggest item on the budget, government staff salaries.
In an effort to bring that down, Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, has proposed
a three-year wage freeze. What are the implications of that move?
