Farming for their future

The retrenchment of more than a thousand workers at Rainbow Chicken in 2017,

had a devastating impact on the poultry industry. Now, there’s finally hope for some of them.

The Isukile Agricultural Cooperative was started in Cato Ridge creating an opportunity to earn a living for those who lost their jobs.

eThekwini mayor Mxolisi Kaunda visited the farm to assess the progress they’ve made.
