Fighting for better employment benefits

Hundreds of Grade R teachers in Gauteng are pressuring the provincial education department to permanently employ them with basic benefits.

For some, this fight started 11 years ago. 

While promises have been made to transition these teachers  from the Department of Social Development’s employ to the education sector,  
their lengthy wait continues.
