Fighting to die with dignity
Euthanasia and assisted suicide are prohibited in South Africa.
But over the years several cases have landed in our courts from people wanting the right to end their lives.
Later this year a Johannesburg doctor who’s terminally ill will have her case heard.
She wants physician-assisted euthanasia to be declared constitutional and wants a new law legalising it.
