The five year wait for the Euro’s is over

The postponed European Championships is finally here with the opening game just hours away.

The competition gets under way in Rome tonight when Turkey and Italy do battle.

Football writer Kurt Buckerfield says at this stage France are firm favourites.

He says Portugal, the winners of the 2016 Euro’s, also stand a good chance.

Buckerfield adds that football fans should keep an eye on Italy as a potential dark horse.
