Gauteng Health HOD suspended

Gauteng premier David Makhura placed his health department’s HOD, Mkhululi Lukhele, under precautionary suspension with immediate effect.

Makhura acted on the recommendations of the Special Investigating Unit which found that Lukhele was irresponsible when he awarded personal protective equipment contracts to certain companies.
