IEC in election overdrive

As the IEC goes into election mode it certainly has its work cut out.

That’s the view of Lawson Naidoo from the Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution.

The local government election will most likely be moved to 1 November.

The IEC announced today that candidate registration would reopen after the voter registration takes place on 18 and 19 of September.

Naidoo says there are some challenges ahead.
