India hit by deadly second COVID-19 wave

India is currently in the grips of a deadly second wave of COVID-19 infections.

The country's healthcare system is overwhelmed, having recorded another over 300 000 new infections in the past 24 hours.

Health experts have sounded the alarm and some countries are already scrambling to send supplies and soon South Africa will do the same.

But what can our country learn from India’s deadly situation?
