A knight in shining armour

Former Public Protector Professor Thuli Madonsela has been appointed of Knight of the Legion of Honour in France.

Her knighthood was by French President Emmanuel Macron. This earns her a seat among French nobility.

Established by Napoleon Bona-parte in 1802, the "degree Chevalier" celebrates the accomplishments,

of distinguished individuals. Madonsela was recognised for her defense of the rule of law,

and for fighting corruption in South Africa. Madonsela joined us on Thursday

to share her thoughts on this huge honour.
