Locust outbreak threatens Northern Cape crops

Farm owners in some parts of the Northern Cape are battling the highest outbreak of locusts in the province. 

Today, MEC for Agriculture, Mase Manopole, visited several farms, to assess the impact the swarm might have caused to the crops.

Manopole says the outbreak poses a real threat to the food security in the province.
