With a shift from the colonial standards of beauty, many women are embracing their natural hair.

This is the crux of the storyline of Swirl, a new film by Quanita Adams.

The actress, writer and director says it’s a ‘Love letter to hair on the Cape Flats’.

The film debuted this past weekend and Adams joined us to tell us more.
