Municipality disputes R5 million breakfast

Zululand District Municipality Mayor Thulasizwe Buthelezi has denied that the council hosted a R5 million breakfast.

His comments come after KwaZulu-Natal Cogta MEC Sipho Hlomuka announced an investigation into the reported lavish breakfast.

Buthelezi says the breakfast aimed at drawing investors to the district did not cost that much.

He says these allegations are absurd and unethical.
