Museveni takes an early lead in Uganda’s elections

Advocate Sipho Mantula, from the Centre for Dispute Resolution in Africa, has warned political leaders in Uganda,

not to resort to early speculation about the results of this week’s general elections.

He says people should give the electoral commission time to conclude its counting process.

He joined us shortly after preliminary results from the electoral commission, 

indicated that incumbent president, Yoweri Museveni, took an early lead, following the votes counted so far.

The final results are expected over the weekend.
