Nelson Mandela Bay a COVID-19 hotspot

President Cyril Ramaphosa declared Nelson Mandela Bay an official hotspot with a new set of restrictions for the metro.

The metro now has curfew and no one is allowed to be out and about between 10pm and 4am in the morning.

Retailers will only be allowed to sell alcohol Monday to Thursday, between 10am and 6pm, outdoor events have been restricted to 250 people, while only 100 people will be permitted at indoor gatherings.

The summer initiation season in Nelson Mandela Bay has also been cancelled.
