Nkandla needed a highly skilled approach

The police service continues to be hauled over the coals for its perceived failure to stop the mass gathering at Nkandla on Sunday.

The gathering has drawn the ire of the country with many slamming Jacob Zuma’s supporters for flouting lockdown regulations.

Police officers have been accused of giving Zuma supporters preferential treatment.

Conflict resolution expert Eldred De Klerk says the Nkandla situation required a highly skilled approach.
