Power utility rooting out corruption

The Special Investigating Unit has made a massive breakthrough in its bid to recoup funds that were stolen from Eskom. 

The SIU announced on Friday that it will be getting more than a billion rand back from ABB South Africa. 

ABB was awarded a tender for work at Eskom’s Kusile power station in 2015.

But the technology firm was grossly overpaid as part of an irregular contract.
