Remembering Dulcie September

The life of anti-apartheid activist Dulcie September will come to life at the 15th Annual Women’s Humanity Arts Festival

which takes place at the Artscape in Cape Town this month. Dulcie September played an influential role

in fighting the apartheid regime and was assassinated in March 1988 outside the ANC’s Paris office.

Award-winning actress Denise Newman will play the role of September in a play called ‘Cold Case – Dulcie September Re-Visited’.

We spoke to Newman about the production.
