SA could miss its vaccination target
Wits University Professor Shabir Madhi, one of South Africa’s leading vaccinologists, says it is “highly improbable”
that we will reach our vaccination targets by the end of the year. He says this is mainly due to the unavailability of enough vaccines.
As of Wednesday, about 129 000 jabs had been administered. But Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, has told Parliament that government,
is sticking to its commitment to vaccinate 40 million South Africans by the end of the year.
