“She had to fight for every cent”

Condolences continue to pour for in for the late great actor, Shaleen Surtie-Richards.

She died on Monday at the age of 66 in Cape Town.

Colleague, friend and fellow actor, Denise Newman, joined us to pay tribute to Surtie-Richards.

She believes, the star performer blazed a new path for the industry. She also touched on the terrible impact

the COVID-19 pandemic had on actors, including a veteran like Surtie-Richards.
