The acting CEO of the National Research Foundation, Dr Gansen Pillay believes our scientists and researchers,

are very highly rated around the globe. The news that the rollout of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine has been temporarily put on hold,

has raised much ire and concern amongst South Africans over the quality of our scientists and researchers.

But Pillay spoke to us on Tuesday and maintains they are of a very high calibre.
