Supreme Schoenmaker grabs gold

South Africans are still celebrating the heroics of our new Olympic champion Tatjana Schoenmaker.

Not only did the 24-year-old win South Africa’s first gold medal at the Tokyo Games but her stellar performance in the women’s 200-metre breaststroke final saw her set a new world record.

Her victory according to her father Rene Schoenmaker is the result of 15 years of hard work and dedication.
