Using wastewater to monitor COVID-19 infections

It’s an emerging science and a fascinating method of detecting COVID-19 infections.

Researchers and scientists at the Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology are using wastewater to track COVID-19 infection rates in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The institute says by using this method it’s been able to establish that KZN is already in a third wave of COVID-19 infections.
