W Cape’s TB emergency response

A month ago, on World TB day, the Western Cape health department committed to improving its neglected TB response.

It went as far as declaring a surge in tuberculosis infections an emergency. Today, the province launched its emergency strategy,

with a focus on eradicating the outbreak in the Cape in a decade.
