Was the arrest of the Bushiris in Malawi legal?

Fugitive pastor Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary, will know on Tuesday whether they will remain free in Malawi, or face re-arrest.

Malawian state lawyers are challenging a ruling made by the Lilongwe Magistrates Court about a week ago.

The court found that the warrant for their arrest, wasn’t valid, because it was not channelled through Malawi’s Ministry of Homeland Security.

It ordered that the couple be released from custody.
