Xolobeni community's fight continues

Today an Eastern Cape community, asked the high court in Pretoria,

to dismiss Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe’s appeal,

of the Xolobeni ruling. Last month the court ruled that the Xolobeni community,

should have received a mining application, before the mining rights were granted.

To give us some of their analysis on rural community land rights,

we were joined by Zenande Booi, Head of the Land and Accountability Research Centre at UCT.
