Zuma sends ConCourt 21-page letter

Former president Jacob Zuma refuses to outline how the Constitutional Court should punish him.

He has sent a 21-page letter to Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, saying he’s ready to "walk in jail as the first prisoner of the ConCourt”.

Last week, Mogoeng gave Zuma a few days to submit an affidavit of no more than 15 pages,

on what his punishment should be, if he’s found guilty of contempt of court.

Political analyst, Richard Calland, an Associate Professor of Public Law at the University of Cape Town,

believes Zuma is presenting himself as a victim, who is playing cat and mouse with the court.
