While Mzansi is having an online struggle with hair, many South Africans offline are facing the real struggle of losing their hair, as a result of alopecia.

Alopecia can lead to the complete loss of hair on the scalp. September is alopecia awareness month and we spoke to Kelly Pearce, 
who lost most of her hair as a result of alopecia areata.
