COVID-19: How testing positive affects matrics
Thirty seven matric pupils in Cape Town tested positive for COVID-19.
Those at public schools are scheduled to start their exams on the 15th of November, while independent schools start writing on the 18th of October.
Should a matric pupil test positive for COVID-19, they will not be allowed to write the final exams this year, and will only be allowed to do so in May or June next year, impacting their first year of tertiary education.
