Breakthrough in race for COVID-19 vaccine
The latest breakthrough in the race for a safe COVID-19 vaccine,
has been described as a “great day for humanity”.
Medical giant Pfizer, announced today that its vaccine has been,
found to be 90 percent effective in preventing COVID-19 infections.
But Professor Shabir Madhi, a vaccinologist at Wits University
says the vaccine may only reach our shores in the second quarter of next year.
