Bushiris surrender to police in Malawi

Self-proclaimed Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary, handed themselves over to police in Lilongwe, Malawi on Wednesday.

The couple fled South Africa while on bail citing safety concerns.

On Monday, a warrant of arrest was issued by the Pretoria Magistrate's Court.

A second warrant of arrest has now been issued by the high court in Pretoria.

They were expected to appear in a Malawian court on Wednesday afternoon.
