Cash-in-transit robberies on the rise

As the festive season approaches, cash-in-transit heists seem to be on the increase.

In the latest incident, a Soweto woman was shot and wounded in her hand, one suspect arrested and several guns

and cars seized after an attempted cash van heist in the area. 

Police say there have been three heists in Gauteng over the past three days.
