Ramaphosa, PP face off in court over CR17 funds

Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, is in the Constitutional Court to appeal the decision which set aside her findings of former Bosasa boss Gavin Watson's donation to Cyril Ramaphosa’s CR17 bid for the ANC's presidency. 

Mkhwebane found that Ramaphosa had deliberately misled the National Assembly about the donation. 

She argued that the president exposed himself to a risk of conflict between his official duties and private interests.
