What can COVID-19 teach us about HIV/Aids?

The Treatment Action Campaign was founded in 1998 to fight for access to AIDS treatment.

One of its most significant victories was in 2002, when the Constitutional Court

ordered the South African government to provide antiretroviral drugs to pregnant women,

to help prevent transmission of HIV to their babies during birth.

It’s a decision that saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

The TAC continues to campaign to improve our public healthcare system.
