A contaminated pond, their only water source

Imagine if the only drinking water you have is from a contaminated pond which you have to share, with pets and cattle?

That’s the reality for residents of Ekwazini in Ndwedwe, about 60 kilometres north of Durban.

The taps in the area were turned off eight years ago and as a result residents have had to resort to desperate measures, to get water.
