Local film wins big in the US
It’s been nearly two months since a local Afrikaans feature film, called Barakat, won a prestigious award in the US.
The film won the Best Narrative Feature award at the Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival.
Set in Cape Town, the film tells the story of two brothers who struggle to come to terms with their father’s death.
