Funeral parlours struggle as bodies pile up

The surge in COVID-19 deaths, is continuing to put strain on funeral parlours.

The sector is seeing a high demand for coffins and an increase in policy cancellations.

This while funeral homes in KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape have reported a shortage in coffins.

On Wednesday we spoke to the spokesperson for the South African Funeral Practitioners Association

in Gauteng, Monageng Legae, to further highlight the challenges the industry is currently facing.
