SA campaign reaches out to US scientists
South Africa’s People’s Vaccine Campaign, is calling on US chief medical advisor, Dr Anthony Fauci, and other top scientists,
to make vaccines more accessible to South Africa and other developing countries.
In an open letter, written and signed by Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba,
the campaign claims that there seems to be a deliberate effort by the United States, not to scale up production.
It calls for mobilisation around equitable vaccine access and allocation.
The campaign has the support of over 500 organisations and individuals.
Makgoba who joined via Skype has called on those involved to find their humanity.
