Small increases to social grants

Dr Dick Forslund, a senior economist says the 1.6% increase in social grants, is dismal.

He joined us shortly after Finance Minister Tito Mboweni’s budget speech on Wednesday.

Forslund is of the opinion that Mboweni made a mockery of the concept of social solidarity.
