Minimum wage changes comes into effect

The new adjustments to the National Minimum Wage, came into effect today. Three weeks ago,

government announced an increase of 4.5%, to the minimum wage.

Solly Phetoe, the deputy general secretary at Cosatu joined us on Monday to talk about these changes.

He says the wage is still not enough to make a decent living, but a step in the right direction for

domestic and farmworkers, who have long been exploited.
