IPID update: Wits protest death

A 35-year-old civilian was killed during protests by Wits University students on Wednesday.

The man was allegedly caught in the crossfire after police fired rubber bullets and stun grenades at protesters.

Police watchdog, Ipid, has dispatched four of its officers to investigate.
